The KA6UAI amateur repeater is located at an elevation of 5600' ASL on Palomar Mountain, home of the Palomar Observatory. Repeater coverage is good throughout most of San Diego County including the city of San Diego, with some coverage into Orange, Riverside and Imperial Counties and Mexico. KA6UAI is a privately owned open repeater.
This repeater decodes and encodes a 100 Hz PL tone. Using the CTCSS (PL decode) setting on your radio will block out distant repeaters on your receiver.
